In this paper, We present an automatic assembly inspection system for clock movement which is situated at the final procedure of the movement production system. This system consists of image processing hardware (SE-300) and recognition software. Sample image is binary image, and is processed in real time. Specification of automatic inspection is decided by usual handwork inspection process. Characteristic rule of image is examined on real sampled image. Error detection rule of clock movement is constructed by image recognition. Finally, this system has been introduced to actual production system, and the automatic inspection process has been realized.
