As a study of information physics this paper proposes signal conservation logic(SCL), which is a model of logic for the physical world necessarily subject to the matter conservation law. One of famous problems in the science of complexity is the relation between Kauffman's and Wolfram's models for the edge of chaos. This paper analyzes the edge of chaos exhibited by SCL cellular automata, and mathematically proves that the square-root law like that observed in Kauffman networks is exhibited by the domino automaton constructed from the SCL domino gates. This result can be a clue to the superexponential law proposed by the author. The muniagenesis(emergence of functions)by SCL cellular automata may get rid of the difficulty caused by apparent combinatorial explosion in the evolution of life.
