To clarify the relationship between step stabilities and morphology of anhydrite (CaSO_4) crystal, facet formation at metastable (011) face was followed with AFM in aqueous solutions of various electrolytes. Mechanism of facet formation was discussed together with the effect of electrolytes. Presence of Ca^<2+> gives a curved surface connecting (011) and (001) faces.
