• Effect of fluoride on activated sludge, added as a pulse or in a continuous manner (50 or 100 mg/l), was incestigated. Growth and COD degrading capacity were not significantly affected. Sludge settleability did not change much during pulse feeding, but continuous addition resuldted in poor settiling, with SV_<30> and SVI showing 100-200% increases.
