• Using Rhodotorula gracilis NRRL Y-1091,effects of various nitrogen and carbon sources including cellulase hydrolyzate of alkali-treated rice straw on lipid yield have been studied under nitrogen limiting conditions. The lipid produced from Rhodotorula gracilis was characterized, and its fatty acid composition was analyzed.
