We reported a case of a 39 year-old man who took 20g of yellow phosphorus (content 8%) of sold "rat poison" in order to commit suicide. His electrocardiogram taken on the fifth day of his illness showed PQ prolongation, QRS widening, and inverted T waves in leads I, II, aVL, V_3 to V_6, followed by the abnormal changes of ST segments and T waves, low voltage, and arrhythmias, which reverted to normal again in three months.
