• It does not seem so easy for the physician to determine surgical indication for cases with arrhythmia. But he must recommend surgical operation to the patient, if the former thinks the operation may prolong the latter's life without risk of circulatory failure. The monitor of ECG findings during surgical operation is useful in performing difficult surgical techniques adequately. This report deals with relations between arrhythmia and surgical emergency. The importance of electrocardiography as an operative monitor is stressed.
