水稲の好アンモニア性に関する研究(第1報) : 生体の酸化還元電位(その1)

In order to clarify factors affecting the ammonium-loving character of paddy rice, the authors dealt with, in the present paper, Eh-, pH- value and NH_4-, NO_3-N accumulation of paddy rice in comparison to wheat having the nitrate loving character. The culture solution was classified to three kinds by the difference of nitrogen souces, (NH_4)_2SO_4,NH_4NO_3 and NaNO_3. Seedlings were cultured and tested for 6 weeks since transplanted into sand culture vases. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Weight of rice was superior at NH_4-plot, whereas wheat superior at NO_3-plot. 2. Eh value was higher in rice compared with wheat and became greater according to the advance of growth in both plants. 3. Eh_7 value seemed to be slightly higher at NO_3-Plot than NH_4-plot. 4. pH of rice was lower than wheat and pH of NH_4-plot, in both plants, was lower than NO_3-plots. 5. NH_4-N was found both in NH_4- and NO_3-plot, whereas NO_3-N is not found at NH_4-plot. This means, in the plant body, NO_3 is easily reduced to NH_4 in roots, stems and leaves. 6. From the results above mentioned, it is expected that the oxidation-reduction potential may be in relation to the characteristics of ammonium loving plants.
