F203 Numerical Analysis of Czochralski Silicon Melt Flow Under a Strong Cusp Magnetic Field

This article reports the numerical computation for Czochralski silicon melt flow under an axisymmetrical cusp-shaped strong magnetic field. The PISO algorithm was used. Though three-dimensional transient numerical calculation was carried out, steady axisymmetrical numerical results were obtained. It indicates that strong magnetic field can greatly suppress the melt convection.
