This paper describes a method of estimating the amount of swelling in rollers under working conditions, such as high load pressure, high rotation speeds, high temperatures, and slippage occurring between paired rollers. The method provides a swelling test that is completed within one day. The maximum amount of swelling in the roller under the actual conditions inside the machines can be predicted using the regression curve.
