Tube arrays in the gas and liquid two-phase normal flow have more vibration problems than those in the sungle phase flows. Until now, it was unclear whether the main feature of the vibration was random or self-excited. In this study, the following two kinds of experiments were performed. First, the induced vibration of three rows of flexible tube arrays in two-phase flow was examined experimentally. Second, tube arrays in two-phase flow were vibrated using a link mechanism, and the resultant periodic hydraulic force generated on the tube was measured. Examining these results, it became clear that the induced vibration was self-excited and that the unstable region was enlarged by increasing the void ratio.
