A spiral horn is composed of a sound source part (horn component) where a diaphram is vibrated by electromagnetic force and generates sound, and the spiral part which amplifies the sound from the source by resonating it. In this paper, we suggest a method for the acoustic simulation of the spiral horn using response velocity calculated by the equation of motion in which electromagnetic force works as an external force. This method makes it possible not only to calculate the sound pressure but also to optimize correspondece between the frequency generating from the horn component and the resonance frequency from the spiral part. The consistency of this method has been confirmed by comparing with the measured values, and the usefulness as a predictive system of acoustic effeciency at designing stage has been validated.
