C105 COMPARISON OF THE ABSORPTION COEFFICIENT, SPECTRAL AND TOTAL EMISSIVITIES OF PARTICIPATING GASES AT HIGH TEMPERATURE BY LBL ANALYSIS AND GAS MODELS(Radiation)

The Line-by-Line (LBL) analysis based on HITRAN96 and HITEMP databases is used to accurately compute the absorption coefficient, spectral and total emissivities. The LBL predictions are exact if the gas temperature is less than 1000K, because it takes into account all of the significant spectral lines. The absorption coefficients of H_2O gas and CO_2 gas, which can describe the spectral line properties of each gas, are calculated by LBL analysis and compared with Elsasser narrow-band models in conjunction with exponential wide-band model at different temperatures. The spectral and total transmissivities and emissivities of H_2O gas and CO_2 gas are calculated by LBL analysis in the wave number range from 150 to 9800cm^<-1> and in the temperature range from 300 to 2500K. These values are compared with the results from the narrow-band model in conjunction with an exponential wide-band model and a statistical narrow-band model. A new approach for predicting radiative heat transfer of participating gases is proposed in order to reduce the computational time for radiation transfer calculations.
