In order to design a dense phase (plug-flow) pneumatic conveying system, the simple scale-up theory including conveying factors W, D, L and ΔP was investigated, and eq.(6), (7) were derived. These equations were fairly conformed to experimental data each test material, and were useful to design both single-bore and stepped pipeline.
