Ferritic heat-resisting steels are planed to apply to ultra supercritical power plant. In this study, creep and creep-fatigue properties of several kinds of materials such as Mod. 9Cr-lMo, 9Cr-2W, 12Cr-2W, newly produced Pd-added ferritic steel and oxide dispersion strengthened ferritic steels (ODS) were investigated. Creep-fatigue life tested by a trapezoidal strain wave shape with 3 hour-hold at tension strain side, had a good correlation with reduction of area in creep rupture test. A creep-fatigue life for welded joints of 12Cr-2W and 9Cr-2W steel plates was about 70%, compared with the base metals. The welded joints were failured at fine- grained HAZ(heat affected zone).
