• Various kinds of valves are used in high temperature services in order to control and/or shut off the inner fluid in various industrial processes. All high temperature fluids are in gaseous condition with containing particles such as fly ashes, catalysts or dusts. The most important points to design such valves at high temperature services are : 1) To R&D most suitable material for pressure containing parts and valve seat 2) To R&D countermeasures to prevent erosion due to particles 3) To R&D most suitable type of valve for each application This paper introduces typical type of valves used in high temperature services and also anticipates the future tendency in this field.
