F-6-4-2 Linearization and Vibration Analysis of Constrained Multibody Systems with Constant Generalized Speeds

This paper presents a linearization method for a constrained mechanical system driven by constant generalized speeds. Linear vibration analysis at the equilibrium position is performed. The method developed in this paper employs partial velocity matrix to obtain a minimum set of differential equations. To verify the accuracy of the proposed method, linear vibration analyses of three numerical examples are conducted and the results are compared with an analytical solution and the results obtained by a commercial program.
