Rotating behavior and optimum design of carbon fiber (TORYACA T300) reinforced three dimensional composite disks were numerically calculated. The disk is 300mm in outer diameter. Outer to inner radius ratio of the disk is 0.1. Tangential stress distribution depends on the ratio of tangential to radial modulus. And inner radial displacement increases with the decrease of the ratio of tangential to radial modulus. Optimum fracture design was applied under the following conditions. 1. the volume fraction of radial fiber geometrically decreases from inner to outer radius. 2. the volume fraction of tangential fiber is constant. The disk was optimized under the volume fraction of tangential fiber of 0.2 and radial fiber at inner radius of 0.22. And the maximum tip speed was estimated at 820m/sec.
