The gear used in high speed rolling stocks is required high accuracy, low vibration, low noise and high reliability of good durability and absolute safety. As we have chances to manufacture gears for high speed rolling stock for several countries, we would like to report practical results that covered high efficiency hobbing, improvement of heat-treatment method, carbide skiving hobbing before tooth grinding and tooth grinding to obtain stable product quality and high production efficiency.
