• In a recent paper we suggested a methodology for evaluating and categorizing materials intelligence. In this paper we also took the opportunity to identify areas of potential materials development on the basis of analogy with human intelligence functions, and to predict the appearance of new materials intelligence fields. The present paper recapitulates and expands on our previous work. It begins to fill in the blanks created by our conjectures, fleshing out the concept of materials intelligence evaluation with examples of concrete new developments in the field. We believe that, at least so far, the results of new research have begun to validate the usefulness of our theoretical model.
