This paper proposes an object framework for production scheduling system for chemical batch processes. Applying the framework to construction of a chemical batch control system, system engineers can easily create a typical batch scheduling system cooperated with sequential control system based on ANSI/ISA-S88 "Batch Control" standard. In such framework, at first, a simple scheduling system without any constraints is created from the framework model directly. Then, a revised system is evolved from the original one by considering some constraints typical for chemical processes. Through a case study, it has been shown that the proposed object framework can provide a useful implementation of batch scheduling system.
