There are few papers about kinin formation and decomposition mechanism of pathological conditions in the field of dermatology. We reported the level of kinin in cantharidine-induced blister to reveal the relationship between kinin and dermatological inflammatory pathogenesis. Results were as follow; 1) Kinin or bradykinin-like substance was found in blister. 2) Blister fluid taken 24 hours after application of cantharidine attached to a healthy human volunteer showed higher activity of this kinin than that taken 48 hours later. 3) The activity of kinin was lower in blister of a patient who had been taking homochlorcyclidine. 4) The kinin activity was inhibited by adding homochlorcyclidine solution in vitro. 5) Diphenhydramine hydrochloride could not inhibit this kinin activity. 6) The kinin which was obtained by this method was almost similar to bradykinin if homochlorcyclidine has antibradykinin activity and if diphenhydramine hydrochloride has no such action.
