The fundamental equations for one-dimensional steady isentropic flows superposed by unsteady small perturbations are shown to be identical with those for unsteady small perturbations only, if the Mach number are sufficiently smaller than unity. Consequently, the methods of response analyses of fluids in tubes for the latter cases are shown to be applicable to the former cases.
