概要

The laminar flow of an incompressible Newtonian fluid is considered. A numerical investigation of the pressure distribution between the rotor and side plate of a sliding vane type compressor is studied. Computations of the pressure are performed by the divergence formulation method in general coordinate based on the Kawabata's formulation. These computations are compared with the result of weighted residual finite element method. All computations are excuted on a 32 bits personal computer. So the results of this investigation indicate the posibility that the numerical design by a simple system is useful in the development of this type of compressor.
