For the calculation on fuel injection system in diesel engine, the authors gave assumptions, classification of injection phenomena, basic equations and finite difference method of equations. And they studied the following several points not yet carefully checked before comparing the calculations with experiments. 1) Sound velocity in the fuel is shown as a function of back pressure and modulus of volume elasticity is found from its sound velocity 2) Pressure loss at a pipe connection 3) Effective area of nozzle hole 4) Correction factor of valve area 5) Damping factor of valve motion 6) Repulsive coefficient of valve at a valve seat By considering these several points, the simplification and exactness of calculation were improved.
