The problems of the laminar boundary layer in which combustion reaction occurs are solved theoretically taking into account Arrhenius' theory of chemical kinetics, the effect of impermeable leading part, and the fact that the properties of fluid depend on temperature and concentrations of chemical compositions contained in the boundary layer. As the result of this investigation, the following conclusions have been obtained : 1) The maximum temperature obtained in present work is lower about several hundred degrees of centigrade than that given in the previously published papers on the assumption of flame sheet model, 2) the combustion zone occupies about 20% of boundary layer in width, and 3) the effect of impermeable leading part on shearing stress on surface is most remarkable.
