Theoretical and numerical studies have been carried out to assess the accuracy of Asymptotic Model Analysis (AMA) for the response of a beam under point random forces. The asymptotic behavior of approximations, which are used in AMA, has been investigated to show the dependence of the accuracy on the location of the point forces and on the distance between the correlated forces. Moreover, the spatial distribution of the beam response has been discussed. It is shown that, asymptotically, the response at all points of the beam, except for some special points, becomes the same, and that a large response appears at those exceptional points.
