The mixing process of turbulent two dimensional parallel jets which developed velocity profiles at the starting point of mixing was theoretically and experimentally studied. The fundamental equations were numerically solved by finite difference method. The boundary condition proposed by von Karman was introduced and Prandtl's mixing length theory was used to express Reynolds' stress. As a tracer carbon dioxide was added in a jet stream and the velocity and concentration profiles were measured at various positions along the wall. These measured profiles were in very good agreement with predicted ones.
