We propose a method of solving the problems of a plate with holes irrespective of their shapes, number and array by utilizing the fundamental differential equation under any body force introduced by one of the authors in two-dimensional problems. As an example, the problem of an infinite plate with a doubly periodic array of elliptic holes subjected to a uniform tension in the direction normal to the major axis of elliptic hole has been solved.
