The particle impingement characteristics on a flat plate with angle of attack in a supersonic flow field are investigated analytically, for a case of flows in which the shock wave is not detached. In this analysis, the drag coefficient c_D of a spherical particle does not coincide with Stokes' Low (i. e., c_D=24/R), since the Reynolds' Number R of a particle is not small, and C_D=0.4 for R=10^3〜10^4 ; so we have used the approximation of c_D=24/R+0.4 for R=0〜10^4. All characteristics of particle impingement on a flat plate are found theoritically, and numerical calculations have also been done for water droplets of 0.1mm in diameter at free stream Mach Number M_0=2.0.
