• Diplogonoporus grandis is the human intestinal tapeworm and reported adout 30 cases in Japan. C. balaenopterae is the intestinal parasite in the whales (Balaenop/era boreals, etc.) recorded from Scandinavian sea, but it was found near Japan sea by the author. The comparative morphology of these two species was studied by the author. As a consequence D. grandis is the synonym of D. balaenopterae, because these two species are not different in structure.
