We can presume the process of the "evolution of egg" smoothly without any leaping, if we suppose the anamnious eggs of amphibians evolved first to viviparity in the mother body, and then to the amnious eggs of reptiles and birds. On the other hand, the "evolution of heart" is also be presumed without unreasonableness, if the type of heart with double aortic arches and double venticled be brought in the process of the evolution. A systematic figure of four legged animals constituted in the way to satisfy the avove two presumptions bears a close resemblans to the HUENE'S figure established on the osteology so far as Amniota is concerned; though we must presume an existence of, in the half-way of the evolutional course of reptiles etc., group of "primitive warm blooded animals" which may be fit for the main group of the changing stages from amphibians to the same reptiles.
