For measuring the mobility spectrum of radioactive charged aerosols, a newly designed parallel plate type spectrometer was constructed in 1966-1967, on the basis of the Erikson's spectrometer. By this spectrometer, positive and negative mobility spectra, and the concentrations of both the signs in each fine range of mobility are obtained simultaneously from the same sampled aerosol particles. In this paper, theory of measurements of mobility spectra, examinations of air flow pattern in the chamber and tests for some radioactive aerosols stored in a vessel are described.
