Collisionless tearin: instabilities and the associated electron heat transport areinvestisated b>' usins a two-and-one-half dimensional r>article simulation code.It is shown that a collisionless drift tearinn instabilitv saturates at a low amplitudeand turns into a nonlinear r>ure tearinn instabilitv. The electron internal energyprofile is flattened within the magnetic island. The electron heat conductivityobtained from the heat flow across the singular surface is proportional to IPin the linear r>hase and to (d W/ dt ) W' in the nonlinear rhase of the tearinx insta-sm?tty. Here w is the half width or the magnetic island, and we treat the case onlyone tearing mode is unstable in the simulation. A theoretical model to explainthese results is also presented.
