Possibilities of NMR technique will be illustrated by a selection of high-field NMR results on antiferromagnetic quantum spin systems, obtained at the Grenoble High Magnetic Field Laboratory. We present results for two well known systems, doped Haldane spin chain Y_2BaNi_<1-x>Mg_xO_5 and spin-Peierls compound CuGeO_3, as well as two newly studied compounds, the NaCu_2O_2 chain (or zigzag ladder) and the 2D dimer compound BaCuSi_2O_6 ("Han purple").
