X-Ray Raman Profiles of Solid Lithium on the KKR Method

X-ray Raman profiles were calculated for solid lithium on the KKR method. Thenarrow energy range of 30 eV above the threshold was investigated intensively. Thelifetime broadening due to the excited electrons was also considered. In contrast withthe K X-ray absorption spectrum, we have successfully performed a q uantitative corn-parison between the theoretical X-ray Raman profiles and the experimental profiles inthe absolute scale and also the information on the momentum dependence has beenobtained. With respect to the energy positions of the significant fine structures, wehave achieved a good agreement with the experiment, especially in the energy range ex-tending to about 5 eV above the threshold.[fine structure, KKR method, lifetime broadening, local density approximation, ll X-ray Raman profilesl
