In the present work we report some new data on charged particle multiplicity andpseudorapidity distributions of shower particles produced in pion-emulsion collisionsat 340 GeV/c. Some of the results are compared with the data from proton-nucleus in-teractions at 400 GeV/c. From the study of pseudorapidity distributions of chargedshower particles, it is noticed that the maxima of j-distributions shifts towardssmaller values of q with increasing n.. Bi-modality in the j-distributions is observedfor all n.-intervals at 340 GeV/c. There is no tendency of appreciable change in thedispersions of j-distributions with increasing n, n. or N., except in the region ofsmall values of n. and N.. Forward-backward correlation has also been investigated.
