Tlais paper proposes a new raaodel of non-interacting three-diznensional Watanier excitons inter-acting with photons which takes into accovrnt radiation reaction, V2lCY1Lll11 fluctuation of photons,quanttnun correlation, center-of'-utaass rtaotion, and the ferunionic and t.he cooperative natvrre ofexcitons. The umodel stuccessftnlly explains why the giant oscillator strength effect is ineffectivefor optical nonlinearity of the excitons due to phase space filling (Patnli excltrsion principle) bttt iseffective for their spox'xtaneovxs eraaission. It is pointed otrt that the qtrantuna correlation betweenexcitons and photons and the cooperatix'e nattrre of excitons are key points for vtnderstandingthe giant oscillator strength effect.
