Effect of level statistics on local electronic states and local magnetism in nanoscale metallicgrains with transition-naetal impurity in the ballistic regime is studied. It is shown that the meanoccupation of local electron and the local magraetic moznent in nanoscale metallic grains with oddconduction-electrons are larger than those with even condtrction-electrons. The effect of evenodd parity on the condition for the occurrence of local unagnetic moment is also discussed, it isfound Cheat the critical value, p.z(O)U., for the formation of local rnonaent in nanoscale metallicgrains is nauch smaller than that in bulks. The dependences of the local spin stnsceptibility onsize and the Coulomb interaction are obtained. These results show that the level statistics playsan important role for the local magnetisrn, it distinguishes the properties of nanoscale metallicgrains frorn those of cltusters and bulks.
