We investigate the analyticity property of the partially resurnrned series expansion (PRSE)of the partmtion function for the eight-vertex unodel. By developing a graphical technique, wehave obtained the first few terms of the PRSE and fovmnd that these terms have a pole only atone point in the complex plane of the cotnpling constant. This restrlt supports the conjecttrreproposed by Guttmann and Enting concerning the "solvability" in statistical mechanical latticemodels.
