We apply the density matrix renornaalization group (DMRG) method to a non-equilibriumproblerm: the asyrnnaetric excltrsion process in one dirnension. We sttrdy the stationary state of'the process to calculate the particle density profile (one-point ftrnction). We show tlaat, evenwith a small nutnber of retained bases, the DIVIRG calculation is in exceller?t a"reernent xvith theexact soltrtion obtained by the taaatrix-prodtrct-ansatz approach.
