The dissipation process in a two-diuatensional BCS strperconductor, dtre to the quasiparticlesin the core of a moving vortex, is stttdied f'rouaa a qtranttrm rnechanical point of' view, especiallyfocusing on the spectral flow of tlae boutud state energies in the vortex core. In order to clarif'y thenature of the spectral floxv, xve perfortaued a ntrzaaerical sttrdy of a finite systena and, by extendingthe analysis to incltrde the efl'ect of' itnptrrities, xve disctrss the qtranttrna taaechanical origin of' thedissipatiota in the vortex core.
