Phase transition pressure, relative volurne change and nuecltanical properties of partially cova-lent Inditrm antiunonide have been sttmdied. A potential model has been developed whicla includesCotnlombic, three body interactions, V2l[l der waaJs forces, overlap reptrlsive interaction and co-valency elects operative upto second neighbotrr iotas. It is fotrnd tl'rat the inclusion of covalencyeffect has improved the restrlts.
