• The neutron strength distributions of' the two high-sjcin '1.k?57) and 1719/2 unbound states of"'Pb have been viewed in detail within the formalism of the Core-Polarisation effect where theefT'ect of interaction of the neutron shell-model states of "'Pb with the collective vibrationalstates from the giant resonances has been taken into consideration. The theoretical results havebeen discussed in the light of otrr previous works Ol'l Ij)37@, 2#]1/2 and IA:17/2 neutron orbitalsof "'Pb. Side by side available theoretical work on the continuurn shell-rnodel states has beencompared witla the present theoretical calculations.
