The velocity of sound and the naolar volunae of the liquid indium-antimony were naeasuredto deduce the compressibility over the entire composition range as a f'unction of temperattrre.The so-called "Nachschrnelzen" phenozaaenon found for liqtrid Sb beconaes gradtrally weakened byadding In, There seerns to be no obviotrs anornalies in compressibility arotrnd 50 at.'X Sb whichcould be connected with a sharp peak in the specific heat of liqtrid InSb reported previously. Athigh ternperatures the cotaapressibility as a ftrnction of conaposition shows an inflexion at 50 at.'7Sb, which can be interpreted as being dtre to the dif['erence in the bonding mechanisrrt in eitherside of InSb.
