Buoyancy-contribtrting tttrbulence is investigated from a viewpoint of the turbulence modellingwith an aid of a two-scale direct-interaction approximation (TSDIA). Applying the spectralinertial-range form to the second-order analysis of the TSDIA, the ensemble-mean representa-tions for the Reynolds stress, the heat flux, and model equations for the turbulent-energy andthermal-intensity dissipation rates are derived and discussed in detail.
