Dynaunic light scattering frona dilute aqueous suspensions of polystyrene-latex par-ticles subjected to steady simple slaear flow NV2lS examined. Tlae diffusion and tlae con-vectioua naotions of tlae particles in shear flow were found to be detected From themeasured homodyne correlation functioua if the intensity profile of the incic[ent Baserbeam was assumed to be the superpositioua of tlae Gaussian- and tlae box-type ofdistributions. In addition, it was detected that tlaere are some dynamical motionswhich miglat be due to oscillatory fluctuation of tlae slaear gradient or to slaear-in-duced aggregates of tlae latex-particles.[dynamic light scattering, shear flow, pot)'styret?e-latex particles, particle diffu- ]l sion, particle convectionl
