By the mean-field approximation, the Stipdonk and Hetherington's (SH) modelwhich explains the magnetism o f solid 'He may undergoes two sutccessive phase transitions at H..=0, where H.. is a external field. However, we observed only one pltasetransition experimentally, that is the paramagnetic phase (PARA) to the low fieldphase (LFP). To resolve this discrepancy between the theory and experiments, theMonte Carlo simulation have carried out for the SFI model. We employ the "heatbath" algorithm to save cornputing time. Hence, a micro-computer becomesavailable for this simulation. Two samples, which contain 32 and 108 atoms, respectively, are simulated with periodic boundary condition. The ntagnetic susceptibilityand the su b-lattice one are measured as functions of' the tempet'ature and the externalmagnetic field. From the result, we can conclude that this discv'epancy is due to inaccuracy of the mean-field appro>cimation. We have also determiuted the magnetnc phasediagram, i.e. the phase boundaries of LFP-PARA and LFP-F[FP(high field phase).
