We examine spinodal decomposition induced in sheared sen?idiIute polymer solu-tions which were stable in quiescent states. We find 21 transverse elastic force acting onpolymers. It causes a diffusive flux of polymers from lower to higher concentrationregions in mechanical equilibrium. This mechanism can also explain formation of aslipping layer in capillary flows. The scattering amplidue is also calculated in weakshear.
