The electrical resistivity of singlet-ground-state compounds of praseodymium,PrCu5 and PrCu, has been measured at temperatures between 1.5 K and 300 K.The experimental results showed the effects of crystalline-electric-field splitting ofthe 4f state of Pr ions. In PrCu, it was found from a comparison with theorythat the aspherical Coulomb-charge scattering of conduction electrons by Pr ionsmakes an important contribution to the resistivity.
